Payment principle

Saving a plan or receiving a plan reference does not itself record a payment. Travel funds are credited only after the payment processor confirms and Grouper reconciles the transaction.

01

1. What Grouper provides

Grouper provides travel planning and payment-plan services that help members prepare for future travel.

A Grouper travel plan is not an airline ticket, airline booking, confirmed seat or fare hold.

The airline, routing, schedule, baggage allowance, seat and final fare are confirmed only when ticketing is completed.

02

2. Travel plans, membership and payments

The annual Grouper membership fee is charged once per plan holder for each 12-month membership period. It is collected with the first travel plan you commence in that membership period and is not charged again when you commence additional plans while that membership remains current.

Each active travel plan carries a A$9.99 monthly service fee with each scheduled monthly plan payment. The service fee is separate from your travel balance and is not counted toward the airfare saving target.

A plan holder may have a maximum of three active travel plans at one time. A saved or unpaid draft does not count as an active plan; a plan becomes active only after its first plan-holder payment is confirmed or reconciled.

For standard Grouper plans, the protected travel target is spread across the actual collection months shown before payment. Travel-fund payments are scheduled as evenly as possible to the cent. If the selected plan term is longer than the time available before Grouper’s funding-completion buffer, the number of collection months is shortened and the equal travel-fund amount increases accordingly.

A payment is credited to your Grouper travel balance only after it has been confirmed or reconciled. Entering payment details, saving a plan or receiving a plan reference does not by itself mean funds have been received.

Payment Flex may allow eligible members to pay early, make catch-up payments, move the next payment date within the displayed self-service window, or use a limited extension. Early payments do not automatically move the next scheduled due date. Date changes and extensions do not change the travel target, airline fare conditions or the plan’s final-payment deadline.

Payment Flex controls may be limited or unavailable where the plan is overdue beyond the self-service window, has reached the extension limit, is close to its final-payment deadline, is under payment or fraud review, or otherwise requires Grouper support.

3. Family Travel Wallet contributions

A Family Travel Wallet lets a Plan holder create a private, expiring contribution link for relatives or friends. A contributor chooses whether to contribute and how much, within the limits shown on the contribution page.

Family contributions are allocated entirely to travel funding and do not include a Grouper membership fee for the contributor. A contribution does not give the contributor ownership of the travel plan and does not itself create an airline booking, seat hold or ticket.

A family contribution is credited only after the payment processor confirms it. If a refund, dispute or reversal occurs after funds have already been reserved or spent for travel, the wallet may require manual reconciliation before further ticketing actions can continue.

Contribution links should be treated as private invitations. The Plan holder can revoke an active link and Grouper can stop accepting contributions when the current travel target has been reached or the plan is no longer eligible.

4. Customer funding and airline commitment

Your number of scheduled travel payments and final scheduled payment date are shown before you commit to a plan.

Customer funding and airline commitment are separate timelines. Grouper currently targets completion of scheduled customer travel payments before departure using the funding buffer shown in the plan, while airline inventory may open much earlier.

Grouper generally aims to begin airline commitment around 11 months before departure where supplier inventory, airline/group terms and funding authority allow it. This target is not itself a fare lock, booking or ticket.

A fare is treated as locked only when Grouper has verified the applicable supplier hold, price guarantee or confirmed airline order. Your airline booking reference and e-ticket are issued only when the supplier has actually confirmed them.

05

5. Fare estimates and changes

Prices displayed before ticketing are estimates based on available fare information and expected travel conditions. They are not guaranteed airline prices.

Grouper may use historical or curated benchmark observations, a protected saving target and time-stamped supplier search snapshots when planning or reviewing a fare. These figures have different meanings and must not be treated as interchangeable quotes.

The protected saving target may include a route-specific planning allowance above the benchmark reference to reduce the risk of under-saving. That allowance is not an airline fee and does not mean the final ticket will cost the full target amount.

A supplier snapshot reflects pricing returned at a particular search time. Unless Grouper Lock explicitly records a valid supplier hold or price-guarantee deadline, the snapshot is not a reservation, fare hold or price guarantee.

If the final available fare or itinerary differs materially from the plan estimate, Grouper will present the available options before airline commitment or ticketing rather than silently changing the booking.

Before supplier commitment, eligible trip changes may be reviewed under the flexibility shown in your plan. After Grouper has made a verified airline commitment, changes may be subject to the airline’s fare rules, change charges or fare difference plus any Grouper change fee disclosed to you before the change is approved.

Once a ticket has been issued, the selected airline’s fare conditions, change rules and cancellation rules also apply.

06

6. Cancellations and refunds

Before airline commitment, cancellation and refund eligibility is determined under the Grouper cancellation terms disclosed to you before a live payment is taken.

After airline commitment or ticketing, any refund or change is also subject to the supplier/airline fare rules, fare difference, non-refundable airline amounts and any disclosed Grouper administration or change fee.

Nothing in these terms is intended to remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.

07

7. Reviews, referrals and trust claims

A customer review can be submitted only when Grouper can verify an eligible relationship from its own payment, supplier-order or completed-journey records. Reviews may be moderated for privacy, relevance, abuse, unlawful content or platform integrity before publication; Grouper does not create or seed testimonials.

Referral links attribute a new travel plan to the referring member. A referral qualifies only after the referred customer completes the qualifying reconciled payment. A visit, saved plan or failed/pending checkout does not qualify.

Referral rewards are not automatic. A reward applies only where the member dashboard explicitly shows an active reward amount and the referral meets the displayed programme conditions. Refunds or reversals of the qualifying payment may reverse referral qualification or reward status.

Accreditations, memberships and external credentials are shown publicly only when Grouper has recorded them as verified with traceable issuer/reference evidence and they remain within any applicable validity period. An application or pending verification is not an accreditation claim.

8. Traveller responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate traveller names, dates of birth, contact details and other information requested for ticketing.

You are responsible for passports, visas, health requirements and entry or transit requirements applicable to your journey.

You must review the final itinerary and passenger details before ticketing when asked to do so.
